I don't know what's going on with this week, but as I've been lurking around DA for the past few days I've come across on my own friends list, unfortunate deviants that have been accused of art thievery and even just found out that one of the watchers I had was actually in fact an art theft!
I feel for `
emmil who has to take down a wonderful art piece for a mis-communication with a fellow deviant who, in the end accused her of stealing her art and then in fact flee from the scene you can say and in the end nothing got solved but then I have a user on my watch list (oh and by the way I don't even remember me adding him) but anyways, I'm looking at his "recent" work and I sit there wondering where have I seen this before, until I saw that others have actually linked him the original pieces where he took it from and is now hiding those comments on his page, ugh! I laugh at how stupid people can be to actually think they can get away with it. No shame. As artist we work so hard for what we do, yes, everyone wants 1 million watchers and be the best out there and yes, we like to learn from the best and may even use techniques our fellow deviants have used, but it doesn't mean you can take what the creator worked so hard for, I mean come on! we almost lose sleep over it!! trying to come up with interesting concepts some simple and some complex and for someone to just easily take it, pisses the hell out of me. I just hope that I have watchers and artist that I'm supporting will do the right thing and report leeches out there that have no creative capacity whatsoever.
it's frustrating that we have to worry about that almost constantly and I must say it's one of my reasons why I don't upload my recent works because I'm afraid to have them taken away. which is why I'm creating a larger water mark for my future deviations, to foil art thieves stupid plans on trying to be original.
